DPW Repaints Roads, Advances Drain Project Tuesday Evening
DATELINE — LYNNFIELD
Public works crews were out on freshly paved Lynnfield streets Tuesday evening restriping roadways, even as a townwide drain structure repair project moves forward and Town Hall works to fill an open seat on the Library Board of Trustees.

Contractor K5 Line Painting and the Department of Public Works were scheduled to repaint lines Tuesday evening at locations that have recently been repaved, according to a town notice. The contractor confirmed the work schedule with the town only shortly before crews went out, and officials asked residents to expect traffic impacts in the affected areas.
Separately, the DPW is continuing a townwide drain structure repair project, addressing aging drainage infrastructure across Lynnfield, per a notice posted to the town website.
The town is also seeking a resident to fill a vacancy on the Library Board of Trustees, according to a notice on the town's website.

The Lynnfield Public Library is having its roof repaired this July, the library said on its website, and is running a back-to-school supply drive this summer in partnership with Citizens Inn to benefit families in need.

The Lynnfield Public Library hosts the Magic Fred Show at MarketStreet on Wednesday, July 22, from 11 a.m. to noon for all ages, followed by Coloring Club for adults and teens from 6 to 8 p.m. The School Committee and Planning Board both meet Wednesday, July 22.
On Thursday, July 23, the library holds Classic Film Club: Road Movies from 10 a.m. to noon and Virtual Yoga from noon to 1 p.m. The Board of Health and the Anti-Hate Task Force both meet that same day.
