New Sushi Restaurant Opens First Massachusetts Location
LYNNFIELD — The Department of Public Works is advertising open positions for drivers, equipment operators and laborers, while a new sushi restaurant marked its Massachusetts debut with an opening-week promotion, according to town and Patch reporting.

The Department of Public Works is looking to fill several positions effective immediately, including bus driver, truck driver, equipment operator and skilled laborer roles, according to the town's News Flash listing. Residents interested in municipal employment can find application details through the town's job postings.
The town is also continuing to flag the upcoming I-95 ramp closure planned by MassDOT and contractor McCourt, along with ongoing town-wide drain structure repairs and a roadway milling schedule that began earlier this summer. Nominations remain open for the Daniel Townsend Award for Excellence, with forms due to Town Hall or by email to mcova@lynnfieldma.gov.

The Lynnfield Public Library's roof repair project, announced earlier this summer, remains underway. The library is also running a Back to School Drive in partnership with Citizens Inn, collecting supplies for families in need.
Upcoming library programming for the first week of September includes Story Time for children ages 0 to 5 on September 2, a Coloring Club session for adults and teens the same evening, a Film Club screening of a Criterion Collection title on September 3, and a virtual yoga class also on September 3.
