School Street Foods Owners Seek Help To Reopen In Lynnfield

The owners of School Street Foods are asking the public for help reopening their Lynnfield location months after a suspected drunk driver crashed into the restaurant, Lynnfield Patch reports. Elsewhere, the town issued a mosquito-spraying notice and the library added an America's 250th author talk to its schedule.

The Town of Lynnfield issued a standard public notification this week announcing a barrier and ULV adulticide application to control mosquitoes across public fields and parks, according to the town's News Flash system.

The Lynnfield Public Library will close out its "Plant a Seed, Read" summer reading program on Friday, Aug. 7, from 11 to 11:45 a.m. with a Summer Reading Finale featuring Lindsay & Her Puppet Pals, an all-ages event.

The library has also set a virtual program for Monday, Aug. 10, from 7 to 8 p.m.: "Celebrating America's 250th: 'Act Worthy of Yourselves'" with author Salina B. Baker, part of the library's ongoing series marking the nation's semiquincentennial.

The Lynnfield School Committee is scheduled to meet Monday, Aug. 10, and again Tuesday, Aug. 11. The Lynnfield Housing Authority meets Monday, Aug. 10, and the Library Board of Trustees meets Tuesday, Aug. 11. The library also holds Summer Story Time for children ages 0 to 5 on Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 10 to 10:30 a.m.
