Lynnfield Schools Welcome Back 2,159 Students For New Year

Lynnfield Public Schools opened the 2026-2027 school year this week, with the district's four schools welcoming back an enrollment of 2,159 students in kindergarten through grade 12, according to a "Back To School" update posted to the district website on August 24.

SCHOOLS

The district reported a 98 percent graduation rate and 339 professional staff across Summer Street School, Huckleberry Hill School, Lynnfield Middle School and Lynnfield High School, noting its roots trace back to 1772. Families can track schedules, bus routes and lunch menus through the district site and the ParentSquare app.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Lynnfield Public Library has a full slate of programs this week. A Coloring Club & Lamination Night for adults and teens runs Wednesday, August 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. The next day, August 27, brings three back-to-back programs: a Classic Film Club screening on the silent film era from 10 a.m. to noon, a virtual yoga session from noon to 1 p.m., and Touch Grass @ The Library, a teen program, from 3 to 4 p.m.
